Hello and welcome to Sleep Lover and my journey to a good nights sleep.
I am obsessed with sleep but I never get enough and I have not made it a priority in the past. I have been in a permanent state of sleep deprivation for a long time. But I have decided that there is no time like the present to make changes to my sleep health.
As far back as I can remember I have always loved sleep. When I was young I often slept late and then would be running late for school Then when I started working I would hit the snooze button more than once before I had to get up for work. Back when I had no kids I would spend weekends sleeping in or taking naps and now I’ve had my children lack of sleep has become the norm.
Over the years there have been many reasons for lack of sleep including a far too active social life, working long hours, stress, poor mental health and babies. Children who didn’t sleep and children who still don’t sleep (my youngest is up several times through the night at the moment) and now add in staying up late watching Netflix or scrolling though Instagram it is no wonder I am tired of being tired.
I dream (get it) of a full night of uninterrupted sleep. So this will be where I am going to record all the things I try and do to get the ultimate good nights sleep.
